Recipe to try

We started setting up a booth at the SoKY Farmer’s Market in Bowling Green in April and love it! You can find us there on Saturdays from 8am - 1pm. The Farmer’s Market is located at 636 Center Street, Bowling Green, KY 42101.

At the market we share a featured recipe and provide recipe cards for customers to take home. Here is one of our featured recipes for you to try! Be sure to tag us in your posts when you try it so we can see how it turned out!

Lamb Souvalki - Greek Inspired Kabobs

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs lamb trimmed of fat and cut into 1-inch pieces

  • juice from 2 lemons

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper

  • 1 tbsp dried oregano

  • 3 cloves garlic minced

  • 1 medium onion minced

  • 1 tsp Tony Chaches original creole seasoning

Instructions:

Step one: In a big bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, oregano, garlic and onion. Place the cut meat in the bowl and toss together so that the meat is fully covered in the marinade. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours and up to 24 hours. Thread the meat onto metal or bamboo skewers.

Step two: Grill the skewered meat until brown on all sides.

Step three: Serve with pita bread.
