Whole Foods Here We Come!

I waited an extra week and a half for this blog post until we got the official word…

We passed our GAP inspection! Winding Creek Farms is officially GAP 4 certified! This means we can start selling to our buyer who provides for Whole Foods! We are so thrilled with this giant step forward!

Before the inspection we prepped the entire farm and put a lot of work into making sure everything was just right. Our certification is good for about 18 months and then we will need to be inspected again. This is to ensure that we are still meeting the GAP standards.

Recently we were able to supply ground lamb to a local Bowling Green restaurant for a special farm to fork menu! They used our lamb to make meatballs and it looked delicious. While this is not an all the time thing, it was a great way to get our name out there to more locals!
